Members-elect family and friends are welcome to attend the initiation ceremony (no ticket is needed).  Initiates are seated alphabetically in a reserved section at the front. Your name will be attached to a chair in the reserved section. Guests must arrive early to ensure themselves of seats—and parking places on campus.

Caps and gowns are encouraged at our ceremony, but are not required. Appropriate attire is requested.

The Phi Beta Kappa key is a traditional mark of membership. New members may order a Phi Beta Kappa key or other jewelry with Hand & Hammer Silversmiths online at
http://www.hand-hammer.com/page11.htm.

If you accept your invitation to join Phi Beta Kappa and attend the ceremony, an honor cord in the traditional colors of Phi Beta Kappa will be bestowed upon you to wear throughout Commencement.

E-mail the chapter secretary, Michal Young, if you have any questions (michal@uoregon.edu).
